As both threads are in private forums we may need to post here also. Here is my opinion about this hack

The idea doesn't sound promising to me. Yes being global is important but when the end user realize content is translated via google they will leave the site immediately and probably never came back

It is also an interesting thing to see how SE's will treat the pages as you are creating duplicate content by yourself which breaks vBSEO's main purpose of link consensus.

The correct approach to achive multiple language is not adding ?en at the end. You should have a setup like :
en.domain.com/link
de.domain.com/link2
