    SEO isn't a factor.

I tested a similar but different mod before and ultimately took it off. Ultimately, the users who connect don't really have a 'real' account with you. If face book ever changes their API, or that mod author abandons it, you'll end up with users who have accounts with you who can't ever log in.

Face book is a fad. look at myspace. it was king, and no its nothing really. hardly anyone uses it any more. Face book is slowly headed there. Everyday, it gets worse with apps/viri/spam/other useless crap that made everyone leave myspace in the first place.

IMO, if the user is too lazy to regsiter an account on my site, they are probably too lazy to contribute good content too.

I don't know about the long term status of Facebook, but I know it was always so much better than mySpace (It probably gave Jakob Nielson nightmares).

Maybe when the mySpace kids start growing up and wearing khaki pants, it will be ready for a re-design where the user experience is less like dunking for apples in mixed paint and asbestos.

This is absolutely true. I think I just made my decision
