Facebook Like button displays in CMS and blogs but not in showthread.

    vb 4.0.7 & vbseo 3.5.2

Just activated the Facebook option and the 'like' button is displaying correctly in CMS and blogs but not in showthread. If I disable relevant replacements the button shows - albeit with a huge space beneath it.

I've spent the last two hours reading related threads but I'm not getting anywhere. Can anyone suggest where I might look to fix this please?

I've tried playing with the button positioning in SHOWTHREAD by moving the button code around and I can get the it to display if I place the code above the RR. Problem is that there is then a huge space between the Like button and the RR.

Hello, if you are using our Auto replacement for RR's, it replaces the facebook code as well.

Thanks Brian. Okay, so the question is how to get the button over to the right the way you guys have it

What is the difference between automatic RRs and the old method? Whether I have the auto box ticked or not the RRs are still there. The only difference seems to be that there's a huge space below the RR if I have the box unchecked.

    Hi,

here you will find a fix for this issue: FaceBook "Like Button" being killed by VBSEO. Relevant Replacements?

The difference between automatic RRs and the old method is that you won't need any template edit anymore. If you already made the template edits, you won't need to enable the auto replacement option.

Thanks Fabio. I tried the changes in that thread yesterday actually but every instance of $vbseo_arr in my functions_vbseo_url.php (I'm using vbseo 3.5.2) is followed by a number: $vbseo_arr16, vbseo_arr26 etc.

Basically, I don't appear to have the same code in my
    functions_vbseo_url.php ?

    Basically I get this:

vbseo RR setting "Page title" section on forum and thread pages (vB4.x+ only)" unchecked.

    1.jpg

vbseo RR setting "Page title" section on forum and thread pages (vB4.x+ only)" checked.

    2.jpg

As I said above I can't edit functions_vbseo.url.php because the code which needs to be changed in accordance with the link in Fabio's post above isn't contained in my file.

What do I need to change in my SHOWTHREAD template to get the 'like' button over to the right and remove that large space between it and the posts?

Do you have a <!--VBSEO_RR_1--> code in your template?

In this case, you don't need to use the check box to auto-replace, as you have already manually defined its placement. If you want to move it, move where that comment is actually placed in the template.

Understood but if I uncheck the box I end up with the huge gap. I don't understand your second sentence Move <!--VBSEO_RR_1--> ?

    1) Uncheck the box for auto-replacement.
    2) move the html comment to the exact location you want it to display
    3) if you have style issues, address them in your css of the h1, or p, or whatever thml tags you are using to generate the RR's.
