E-mail notifications link does not take you to the newpost

Hello,

I'm using vBulletin 4.0.5 with vB SEO 3.51. The e-mail notifications contain the URL rewrite data so it is not taking you to the last post on the last page, i.e. newpost like it should.

Is there a fix for this or a way to prevent the URL rewrite from occurring in the e-mail notifications? It makes for a very long URL anyways and I'm not sure that's a great idea for the e-mail notifications as they may break the link in some e-mail clients.

There is an option in the vbseo CP to "rewrite system emails". You can turn that off if you wish.

I turned it off and now it's showing the forum domain ending in a t=XYZ and NOT using the newpost link so it takes me to the new post at the end of the thread.

Is this a bug or a configuration problem I have to correct somewhere?

Are you getting this e-mail notification with a link to the newpost?

With this setting off, vbseo is not touchgin it. t=xyz is how it comes from vbulletin. If you feel this is a bug, you can either add the &go=newpost into the template/function that produces it or ask vb support for a fix.

When you get an e-mail notification of this reply, do you get the "newpost" URL to this particular post or are you dropped into the root of this thread?

When vBSEO is disabled , there is no way it can modify any e-mail or vBulletin option. I fully understand Steve's response however this issue is not related to vBSEO as you also clearly state that issue is not present when vBSEO is disabled.

When I clicked the link in this e-mail notification it worked. It ended in -new

So I'm guessing something is not quite right in my vBSEO 3.5.1 PL1 settings.

This problem seems to be coming from a different addon, because when you disable vBSEO, it still does not take you to the latest reply.

vBSEO is the ONLY add-on I run. It's not my helicon isapi rewrite config is it??

I'm not sure what you need Mike, is there a template in the Admin CP you want me to pull for you?

I didn't save it. It was a URL that ended in a t=XYZ such as the thread id.
