Duplicate title tags & Duplicate meta descriptions on Google Webmaster Tool

Today I had a look on Google Webmaster Tool and I got plenty of HTML suggestions there for duplicate title tags & duplicate meta descriptions. How can this be solved/improved?

Google Webmaster tool says:
"When Googlebot crawled your site, it found some issues with your content. These issues won't prevent your site from appearing in Google search results, but addressing them may help your site's user experience and performance."

What's the example of these URLs ?

I would say you can ignore them let me show you how, If I have 2 threads have the same title, So Google see them as duplicate title and description so you can simply ignore them they are not errors so it will not effect your site results.

well its actually the same url just the number at the end changes e.g. -2, -3

Then it's the Pagination problem, Please apply this fix to add the page number in the title to avoid this problem : Title modification option

should vbseo not address in their product? I mean I have the latest vbseo and vb4. This modification was for 3.8...

There is no problem at all it's just a duplicate threads in your forum, Just ignore them

Hi my issue is, google reported duplicate meta description and my error is example

abc.html
abc1720.html <- when I click on this link it went to the same post and it attended # like this "abc#1720.html"

how can I fix it? to remove the duplication? help. Thanks.

That is not an issue you need to focus on. Your threads can have similar meta tags there is nothing wrong with it.

If duplicate titles do not affect pagerank, why do google and various other measurement sites even bring it up? I was just informed by a SEO report that I have over 4k duplicate pages. All of them are duplicate page titles from threads, i.e. page 1, page 2, page 3, all of them have the same title.

Is this or is this not a detriment to pagerank?

Duplicates title don't effect page rank . You are over worried.
