Exclamation disabling vbseo from outside the admin cp and vbseo.php?

I just got notice from my host that vbseo had suddenly caused too much strain on the server, so they disabled it. Because the vB software can no longer access it, the entire forum & admin panel is giving me an "You don't have permission to access /vbseo.php on this server." error. I can't read, write, or delete vbseo.php until the host gives me IP access to the file, and they're taking their sweet time about it.

I tried disabling vbseo through the config_vbseo.php file, but that didn't work. (I'm guessing vB calls vbseo.php first?)

I tried disabling plugins entirely by adding "define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);" to the vB config file, but that didn't work either. Is there any other way to temporarily disable vbSEO so I can get the forum to load again?

You can disable vBSEO directly from vBSEO Cp .

If you choose to disable it from config.php , you should make sure you also renamed vBSEO .htaccess file
