database error after migration

hi, I recently migrated my forums from one dedicated server to another and I now get this database error every time vbseo tries to generate a sitemap, it happems in both forums. I have tried re-uploading sitemap files and xml. here is the error.

"MySQL server has gone away" translates as "running out of resources". You can try to increase the value of "wait_timeout" in MySQL configuration file (my.conf). If you are trying to generate the sitemaps for a large board, you may want to setup a server-leve cron job, as stated in the vBSEO sitemaps readme.html file: vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap v.3.0 Readme File
