Converting Members

Just wondering what tips/tricks everyone uses to convert some members. I've been getting the traffic lately, but our member conversion is horrible.

I like that you put the following text instead of the typical boring, uneventful welcome text:

What would you do with 25k, and a free car?

A couple of suggestions:

- I think your logo could use some work. It's too small for the size of your header. With a word like "Anarchy" in your name, I would expect something more exciting! Consider having a designer come up with a larger bolder concept with a thought provoking tag line to go along with it.

- With car forums I always like to see car photos up in the headers somewhere.

- A *call to action* in the header is always a good idea if you have the space available.

- You might make your question above a little more interesting yet:

Imagine this... A silver metallic briefcase in your passenger seat. Inside it... 1 MILLION DOLLARS. It's yours... You just pulled off the dealers lot in the HOTTEST CAR ON THE PLANET, hands down, no question about it.

The gas tank is FULL and you have nothing but time and cash $$$ to burn. Where are YOU going? What are YOU gonna do?

You will be B-L-O-W-N ... A-W-A-Y at what others have said! Some of the stories are, shall we say, not exactly PG-13 ! You have to *signup now* to shock us... or head to the teenager forum to talk about your Honda Accord instead.

Go ahead... Sign-up. Tell us your MILLION DOLLARS + DREAM CAR fantasy, and listen in on what we had to say about it! Or go *bleep* *bleep*. And, by that, I mean activate your alarm.
