Content Delivery Network (CDN) information/feedback and help needed.

Hey gang... I jumped the gun a few days ago and got a CDN (VPS.NET Cloud Hosting, Cloud Servers and Content Delivery Network -- their charge is 34.95 for 1TB) for my wordpress site HipHopStan.com -- In just a few days (~5 days) i'm seeing record numbers under Traffic Sources - "Referring Sites" and "Search Engine" coming from Google which i've haven't seen in 3 years according to my Google Analytics... I'm getting lots of visits from images which I didn't receive a significant amount just the week prior. Today alone is a record day for visits and Absolute Unique Visitors.

My first question is... I will be purchasing vbSEO 3.6 gold. But how do I setup my current mirror CDN at vps.net with my vBSEO 3.6.0 RC 2? When I go to General Settings - CDN Intergration and place cdn.mywebsite.com -- My entire "theme" for my forum disappears. Am I doing something wrong? Should I just wait and put the forum HipHopStan.com on the MaxCDN account which comes with vbSEO 3.6 gold? My forum is vb 4.1.2.

Also, I'm highly debating placing my forum on a subdomain. Someone told me the following:

As forums come, your forum is actually quite well optimized. That said, it's always very hard to optimize these things which is why I usually decide to put them on a subdomain instead of in a subdirectory: that way they don't interfere with the rankings of your blog, and thus your most "rank worthy" content. I would seriously consider doing this even at this stage.
With that said... my homepage has a page ranking of 4/10 currently --which I'm trying to improve -- I just went to Wordpress about 4 1/2 months ago. and the forum has a page rank of 3/10. I believe the forum might actually be hurting the website as the analysis said. Should I place the forum on a subdomain? If so, what's the procedures and steps to do so somebody?

    thanks.

The url you enter should be a full url with trailing slash
    ie
    http://cdn.yoursite.com/

Moving your forum to a subdomain is not a good idea, and who ever told you that-- i would ignore anything else they had to say too.

The paths are being added correctly, but you haven't set up your cnames correctly.

    Code:
    http://cdn.xxxxxx.com/clientscript/yui/connection/connection-min.js?v=412
should load the same thing as
    Code:
    http://www.xxxx.com/clientscript/yui/connection/connection-min.js?v=412
but the cdn variation 404's which means the cdn subdomain isn't pointing to the actul cdn service correctly. Make sure you've cnamed the cdn subdomain to the CDN service address correctly, probably something like, youraccount.cdnservice.com. (with trailing dot) You can find this at the CDN help area.
