Changing or Un-linking Your vBSEO Copyright Notice

There are several versions of the vBSEO copyright notice, both (a) linked and (b) unlinked, to choose from.

You can change your vBSEO copyright notice version by editing the config_vbseo.php file.

In config_vbseo.php, please search for the following:

Change define('VBSEO_COPYRIGHT', 0); to the number you would like to use.

I've just set mine as:

8. SEO by vBSEO 3.0.0 © 2007, Crawlability, Inc.

but it's still linked. Suggestion please?

Looks like you have your vBSEO affiliate ID defined in vbseocp, in this case copyright is always linked.

If you have entered your affiliate ID via your vBSEO CP, it will *always* link the footer copyright. If you want it unlinked, you must remove the affiliate link from the corresponding field in your control panel.

If you have your vBSEO affiliate ID defined in vbseocp, the footer link will always be linked (with your ID).

Is the vBSEO affiliate ID a 3 digits number???

Yes - it is a 3 to 4 digit number.

Weel I chose 4 [the size of the letters look different btw] and I'm affiliated, chose Linked and nothing!?!?!

Oh. Actually - you can choose more than 3 to 4 *characters*.

When we refer to the *affiliate id*, we mean the numeric version used in our affiliate URLs, etc.

You can find it when you login to the affiliate section, in the banner area. The number will be included in the referral URL for all vBSEO banners.

Please update the year in 'Not Linked' Notices.

But we haven't released any new versions in 2008, have we?
