I'm talking only about the server and server location, not about the domain name.

You can make the transition and as long as everything is setup the same, then there will be no problem.

You do want to have your move planned out well to minimize any offline time though.

The offline time can reduce the seo score :S

    And what you mean talking
"everything is setup the same" ?

    The vBseo configuration?

Yes, same configuration. Don't make any major changes. Ensure that you don't lose any of your data, and that you back-up and restore your vBSEO settings.

If your down time was long, the search engines would find content unavailable. It could cause some short-term disruption, but would like recover. However, try to keep it to a minimum anyway.

How many off-line days are necessary to lose my indexed pages?

If Google is crawling your site heavily during the offline time then the pages it checks would be found unavailable. If they don't crawl, there will be no impact at all.

Don't sweat it too much. I'm assuming you plan to have it up and running within a few hours tops. Just don't take it offline for a day or more!
