Changing Forum Names & Redirecting to new names

sup folks
i want to change the name of a few of the forums from say "apples" to "apples forum" however, i want people to be redirected from example.com/forum/apples/ to example.com/forum/apples-forum/"

how can i go about doing this? I tried just putting redirects in my htaccess a while back and remember things going wacko, is there another way? maybe use the redirects that you can set in the vbseocp?

That would be one step closer, however, I'd kinda like to have the URL changed also.

You should create "Custom redirect" in vbseocp:

'apples/(.*)$' => 'apples-forum/$1'
