    Changing Admin Area Directory - Help

    Hello,

    For security reasons, I am changing the default administration directory for Vbulletin ("admincp") to something different.

    *I've been told a simple change to the config.php file & renaming the admin directory is all that is involved.

    My question is how will this affect VBSEO - are there any changes I need to make to vbseo when I do this? If so what?

    Thanks in advance for any help.

    AFAIK, you don't need to do anything beyond folder renaming and updating the config.php

    Just check your .htaccess file too to see if theres any reference to admincp.
    (update it accordingly if you find any)

    In my htaccess file i have 2 lines with:

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|cron|vbseo_sitemap)

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !^(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images)/

    so this 2 lines need to be updated right?

    If you will have a custom config.php name , then you need to edit config_vbseo.php and define your config.php within the following setting

    PHP Code:
        define('VBSEO_VB_CONFIG',              'config.php');
