    Question changed URL

    i recently changed URL structure for my site and it looks like google isn't reindexing any of the new content yet.

    site = laserpointerforums dot com

    are there any settings i should change around in vbseo and/or vb sitemap that might help the situation?

    Changing vBSEO's URL Rewrite settings is not a good idea. Please make sure that you've re-generated your sitemap if you have done so.

    Also make sure your robots.txt file does not make any restrictions on the new format.

    You can also check your webmaster control panel (Google) to make sure there are no errors reported.

    However, changing the forum URLs is a major update that will require some time to get the URLs re-indexed from one format to another.

    w/ google webmaster tools.... i uploaded http://laserpointerforums.com/googletest123913212.html

    for verification, but im getting this error:

    We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header.

    i am able to access the URL but can't figure out whats wrong

    [edit -- fixed this problem by using the meta tag verification method, but still don't know why error appeared in first place]
