Change the title - impact on seo?

I've read a lot about this here in the forum, but I want to be sure.

I don't list the forum title in the thread title.
So, if I change the forum title (title of the whole board), will I get problems with seo?

Usually your title shows up on every page of your forum. Therefore, the keywords on each page will be slightly modified. You will also have many links on the site with new anchor text once it's updated.

I have changed it. The title of the thread is just built from the title of the thread. There is no forum title in it. Also the keywords are just the keywords of the thread.

The thing with "anchor text" I don't understand.

I think, I don't get traffic for the actual title.

It's more important for me, if now every thread changes and search engines will rate it bad.

Well the thread URLs will not change if your site title changes, and if you removed the site title from thread titles, you should be fine.

Your forum title is used in various navigation links throughout your site. That's what I was referring to about the anchor text.

I am going to replace the whole title directly in forumhome now. So even those anchor texts will stay
