Change color of post with the most likes

Would it be possible to change the color of the post in a thread with the most likes via a conditional? Would it then be possible to link to that post from the top of the thread separate from the like box?

It maybe possible as vBSEO already retrieves most liked posts for like tree but that variable can be registered to showthread , let me investigate this further and return back to you.
