cant create new forums. redirects back to homepage?

i recently installed vbseo on 3.8.6 pl1 (upgraded from 3.8.2 with vbseo working fine) and now when I create new forums they redirect back to the home page or it give me an error saying the link is invalid.

The problem goes away when I turn VBSEO off. Ive never had this problem before.

Now when you say make, do the forums actually get created?

Yes. If you go to forum manager and create a new forum, save it, go to it in the forum itself and click on it, instead of going into the forum, your redirected back to the forum root.

Do you have a URL of the forum not working?

Please create a support ticket with FTP , Admincp and vBSEO Cp login details with a brief explanation on how to reproduce the issue on your site.

Here are some screen shots that show what Im talking about.


In SS1 youll see that I have the mouse over an old forum and you can see the vbseo url at the bottom and that when you click on it it does indeed take you into that forum.


In SS2 youll see that I created a new forum called 'test' and at the bottom youll see the url that it takes you to (i have the mouse hovering over it when i took the screen shot) which is the sites root (/).

Did you happen to set the forum to be a link? Other than that, the only thing that I can suggest is to open a ticket with admincp access to see if we can find your issue.

Does it work correct if you temporary disable vBSEO ?

Yes. If you turn off vbseo it works fine. You can turn it off, create a forum, then turn it back on and it works. but if you create a forum while its on, it doesnt work.
