Cannot save configuration since renewal

Have read couple of articles on here, but as VBSEO worked right out of the box, when we purchased it over a year ago.. I am bemused as to why it isnt now working correctly since we renewed license today.

We cannot make changes to vbseo within forum admincp, meaning changes are not saved.

We have config_vbseo.php in root/includes/ chmodded to 666

Have read other thread Saving settings

Not quite sure what all that means.

Suggestions ?

You can fix this problem in 2 ways :

The first change your suhosin settings in your php.ini to the following settings

suhosin.memory_limit 32mb
suhosin.request.max_vars 2048
suhosin.post.max_vars 2048

the second is upload the php.ini file in this post to your site root

It isn't working I've tried both things you suggested.

It is not updating our php ini (I've restarted the server and apache after editing settings)

Please supply a phpinfo file link

suhosin isnt enabled on our server, just awaiting response from our VPS-host

Even tho, with Vbulletin, it fully listed Suhosin in our php.info , actually within our php.info via ssh, it isnt even listed .

We added the lines as suggested, but alas, still isnt appearing anywhere.

If your phpinfo page displays that you have suhosin installed and you don't have anything related to suhosin in your php.ini file , then probably suhosin settings are included within additional .ini files . You must check where your ini files are located at and edit suhosin.ini

Or possible still, you are editing the wrong php.ini file.

cpanel tends to make a copy in a new location when installed.
ie, distro install /etc/php.ini
cpanel running, /usr/local/lib/php.ini

Well today has been a total waste of a day, in fact pretty much a disaster.

In the end we went in via easyapache.

Located suhosin, which was indeed installed.
Even went in via ssh, and located suhosin.ini and tried to edit it, to no avail. Didnt make any difference.

We followed everyones advice on here, editing the php.ini file as suggested !

No good, so we rebuilt apache, to see if this could help.

3 hours on and it crashed, not to uncommon I am told via browser. So now we are up for $150 support, just to fix a bloody rewrite issue, that vbseo requires.

Is there any other way round this, without the need for suhosin, I understand its security complicity, but our requirement is just for VBSEO , nothing else. And the sheer fact we cannot write to vbseo, and save configuration within admincp.

Any assistance graciously received.

Correct Suhosin settings is not only required by vBSEO. vBulletin also requires correct suhosin settings defined as Suhosin is even listed within Problematic Web scripts within vBulletin Admincp - Diagnostics.

Please create a support ticket with a phpinfo file link so i can tell you to edit exactly which file.
