Do you suggest the guide except priorities ?
For example I change the priorities as default. But other settings are similar as Briansol's guide.

    e.g.

Is my settings ok for me ?
    I don't use tag,blog

Is it possible to add _ to the regexp? how?
It will cause no troubles, right?

    ^[a-zA-Z0-9\_\s]+$ should work

    Thanks

    Hey mates,

Two thumbs up!! i am about to start my first forums and have only installed VBSEO for a client ages ago and all i did was install and basically leave it, i knew there was more to this than meets the eye.

I have what i believe to be a Huge Potential domain: Battlefield 3 Forums and i need to do things the right way from the start, i am just waiting on the release of VB4 publishing suit before starting.

Seeing how many options are in VBSEO once before i really don't feel comfortable "testing" to see if things work so i will be applying your pointers in you OP, Thanks that was a great read, i hope that you can update the post to suit VB4 & VBSEO 3.5 ASAP (i am about to purchase in the next week) i may even hire you to set them up for me ? if your not overly busy.

    Again Thanks

This article is a bit out of date... it was written for vbseo 3.2. While the general concept is still the same, i would no suggest using the xml file, as it is missing settings for the new features. It's possible a new guide will be made for 4.0.

    Brian,

I believe it would be good to post a clear warning in the initial message that it is outdated, especially part 4, as sitemap 2.5 require range and not a single value...
My issue with sitemap incorrectly formated was due to this.

    Thanks,
    Ludo

Will there be a new guide for the current vbseo? What is advised not to change from the OP's settings image?

Perhaps in the future... I'm still learning vb4 and don't feel comfortable with it myself yet, let alone to offer advice to others.

At this point in time, read it as a guideline. pretty much all the settings as listed are for vbseo 3.2 and vb 3.7. if you're beyond that, using the exact settings/files will likely cause errors as the code behind the versions has changed.

I have been using vbseo since 3.7 i think and all the time with every upgrade i have reimported the XML All settings. Does that mean that my current settings in vb4.0 / vbseo 3.5.0 could be kinda obsolete?

If there is no setting available in the backup, it will use the default value. If you haven't seen any problems, it's likely not an issue.

Is there a beginner's guide for the current Vbseo version? I had it installed last week but haven't tweaked anything.
