if you're having problems with unlink, your data files aren't chmodd'ed correctly. it has nothing to do with settings.

make sure the data/ folder is 777.

you can try deleting all files edning in .xml.gz and .dat from the vbseo_sitemap/ and /data/ folders and then re-running.

I realize i'm out of date on this.

once 3.3 goes final, i will update this post for 3.3 and sitemap 2.5.

For the time being, all the new social and group stuff i would simply not include in the sitemap at all unless you feel the social areas are a BIG part of your community. But, odds are that it's not a highly used feature.

The first post is a tad outdated, can this be updated to 3.8.x with VBseo generator 2.5?

    Many fields are not shown

You need to add your roots file to your site root.

    I have question(s) for clarity

I understand the robots.txt file to be installed in the Root of the forum or site.

I myself have a few domains on the same system, so root is in various folders. Examples would be:
    /html_public/ (aka root)
    /html_public/ (aka domain1)/root
    /html_public/ (aka domain2)/root
    /html_public/ (aka domain3)/root

So effectively you would need a robots file in each root folder, according to its needs

    Is this correct?

    robots.txt ONLY works in site.com/robots.txt

so, where ever that happens to be in your local file system is where you need to put it, usually

    /home/sitename/public_html/robots.txt

it is not a global file- it's per DOMAIN.
