Recently I have noticed that my bot traffic has been much less than usual. Anyone else seeing this? Usually its pretty consistent but lately, especially today, its been really low.

Maybe they're done, or caught up?

Definetly could be. The onyl change is that in the past week I have submitted all my sitemap files (which they now grab everyday) instead of submitting the index file.

Ever since then the traffic has slowed a bit.

I have 800k URLs, but only because I'm including old non-vbSEO'd URLs also (new option with Sitemap 1.7 due out soon.) So, I have about the same number of URLs as you.

Dangling that 1.7 out there! No fair!

As I told you it doens't seem to be visiting showpost much but I guess I'll wait and see what happens. I had some problems with the sitemap wihch Oleg fixed but seeing your bot activity made me think something was wrong.

Do you still have original (dynamic) urls showing up on SERPS?

Ok, so that's the reason you are still submiting the dynamics... it makes sense.

Did you download/listen to Matt Cutts interview on 301's and moved content? (http://www.webmasterradio.fm/episode....php?showId=16) - I think it goes well with Michael's (t2dman) theory on feeding google the old URLs until it has cleared the SERPS from the old (301'ed) threads.
