Blog rewrites errorneus

Hi,

i just installed the vb blog addon for one forum where vbseo is running for some time now.

unfortunately there seems to e a problem with the blog rewrites. All Settings fro blog is set to "custom" and things like "VBSEO_URL_BLOG_USER", "VBSEO_URL_BLOG_ENTRY", "VBSEO_URL_BLOG_NEXT",... in there.

Setting this to a standard rule or switching of blog rewrites doesn't work at all, though after saving i get a "successfully saved" message.

Any ideas?

You shall not edit and try to save rewrite settings by manually editing config_vbseo.php

Please locate vbseocp.php from your browser and look for URL Rewrite Settings within couple lines below you can see Advanced Settings (+ / -) click on + to expand settings. Within the expanded settings you can look for vBulletin Blog URLs and you can easily change them according to your needs.

Mert, that's what i did - if you understood i edited the file you got me wrong, sorry for that.

I did not manually edit files - i just installed vbBlogs and that's what i was getting. Trying to change the settings (via vbseocp.php - the interface) didn't change anything. it just ignored my settings though the message said something like "successfully saved"....

Please make sure your config_vbseo.php is set to chmod 666 before you save your settings.

If this will not work please try adding the following line to top of your .htaccess file

config_vbseo.php has 666 and magic_quotes_gpc is Off in the folder now. But the problem remains unfortunately?

Do you have any additional ideas?
