Hi.
Some forums make the cookies refresh after 5 days or 7 days.
they do this by going to forum settings... do you recommend doing this or is it better to leave it as it is (renew after 1800 seconds)?
and what is the downside of it?
thank you

The shorter the lifespan cookie, the better secure your site will be. Anyone using a computer at a lab/library/etc who forgets to logout willl be auto logged off after a few minuets vs a few days.
I chose to leave it as stock for security reasons. The user can use the remember me box to leave a persistant cookie on their own machine if they chose.
