Best upgrade sequence, if it matters?

    Upgrading from vB 4.0.3 PL1 to 4.0.4
Also upgrading from vBSEO 3.5.0 to 3.5.0

Does it matter which one I do first?

    Thanks,

    -Martin

While both will work, it's always best to do the core product (vb) first, then do the add ons (vbseo)

One more question regarding vBSEO upgrade.

The instructions tell you to uninstall the current vBSEO product. Easy enough.
However, after vB does this, there are two questions at the top of the page:

"Keep vBSEO Data in Database" and
    "Cleanup vBSEO Data"

Your instructions don't cover what to do here. Keep it?

    Thanks,

    -Martin

    Hello Martin,

If you are looking to install vBSEO again in your forum choose "Keep vBSEO Data in Database" But if you want to "Completely" Remove vBSEO from your forum choose Cleanup vBSEO Data, But when you upgrading just disable it.

Do not uninstall. Just set it to 'Disable'

What should one do if, while upgrading, after they copied and pasted their key and saved the new valid key, they then browsed and uploaded their old xml settings file, they are returned back to the license key page and having it show the old key and saying I need to upload the new key.

Every vBSEO Version have a different key than the old, So if you imported the old settings so it's also imported the old key then you need to copy and paste the new key again.

Got it. And I did that. It just looked as if the settings upload didn't take because of how it redirected and gave that key error. I suppose since the rewrites are working on the site that it should be okay.
