Who really cares? If it takes a bench mark to show you a 5-7 requests a second difference then it doesn't really matter.

If eaccelerator works good for you then keep using it. If xcache works good for you keep using it. If they are doing what they are suppose to then you shouldn't notice the difference in load. Any site that is pushed to the brink and its caused by eaccelerator or xcache has other problems that need to be addressed.

If you have to look this hard for a reason not to use eaccelerator then one doesn't exist.

Maybe I am coming across wrong and if so I do apologize.
I am not personally looking to switch from eAccelerator or anything remotely like that for that matter. I am merely interested to see if anyone actually does have some results which would say xCache is slightly better than eAccelerator for vBulletin explicitly. I am sure theres many instances were xCache will out-perform eAccelerator but I am yet to find this to be the case for vBulletin.

In this particular case I am merely wondering as xCache has more votes in this particular poll so there surely has to be someone that has done comparisons different to my own. Otherwise the results are soley based on the recommendation of others.

The point is that there are so many people using it with vBulletin that obviously the performance between the two is not noticeable. It then just turns to preference.

I am not entirely sure why you are being hostile, I asked if anyone has any real world benchmarks to prove otherwise which you have not done. I fully appreciate you may have had slightly different experiences but my own would indicate otherwise and I have yet to find anyone to prove otherwise. Now if you have benchmarks that can prove otherwise then please by all means post them.

xcache is better. But hey if you prefer EA and want bench's then stick to what you think is best hehe.

    Good luck!

I m using xcache and it is perfect really.

I think about 30-40% faster than which don't have cache mod on server.

I have used eAccelerator for around 2 years and using Xcache for about 3 months.
I do not have any benchmarks but daily sar outputs.
I do not see any difference.
For me eAccelerator performs as well as Xcache and Xcache performs as well as eAccelerator.
A recent valueable contributer to my systems was memcached, got significant load decrease after installing and using memecached.
