Auto Tagger please...

Any idea if vbSEO will eventually create an Auto-Tagger feature in future releases for Threads?

To have Tags created automatically (per thread) based on common words in threads / posts.

Especially a cron that could be run for all threads that currently have no Tags.

There used to be a Mod for this, but it hasn't been taken care of lately. (in-fact I don't even think its functional anymore for vb4)

I believe this feature is very significant this day in age where search engine traffic is vital.

I would highly advise against using anything automated like this.

21342423423423423 tags with poor words is just as bad if not worse than having no tags at all.

Brian, this new one only auto-tags from keywords in the thread title...so it shouldn't be as bad. We have posts and threads on our forum dating back to 2002...which is why I need this..

It likely contains "blacklist tags" functions or something similar.

even with a huge black list, you're still going to target words as tags that shouldn't be.

none are stop words/black list

tagger may have a bit of meaning, but please and auto are certainly useless as tags.

any advice then on trying to tag my 43,600 threads ?

Go through analytics and find your top 100 landing pages.

tag those accordingly and correctly manually.

Do this from time to time as time persists.
