asterisk?

Sometimes in the index leaves an asterisk like this:

anyone know if it's something of seo?

That # was created for me when an advert came across the screen clicking close still opened a pop-up and added the asterisk.

It will not create any SEO issues for you though as Search Engines generally ignore Anchors.

On a side note I would seriously consider changing the behaviour of that advert, any sites I am on that still open a pop-up when I close an advert I leave and never return.
