    archives and C2C ratio

One thing I hated (a necessary step, I guess?), is the fact that vbSEO is redirecting all archives to the real threads.

While I think this is the correct behavior, as it make sure we have no duplicated content, one must not forget that the C2C ratio is much higher with the archives (that's why they usually rank higher).

    <having duplicated content> vs. <ranking higher in search engines>

That makes the need of creating a tableless style even more important/urgent, as it help boosting C2C in full threads.

You have 4 options (within vbseo_cp) for managing the archives:
    Code:
    Archive Options:
301 Redirect vB's Archive Thread Pages
'301 redirects' are "Google's Safe" way of moving content. Select this option to save your 'Page Ranking' while redirecting spiders (and users) to the new, static pages.

    Rewrite vB's Archive Thread Pages
This option rewrites URLs so that original content is linked from within the archives. Makes for a great vB Sitemap!

Rewrite + 301 Redirect Archive Pages
This is a combination of options 1 and 2. This option rewrites URLs so that original content is linked from within the archives AND also adds 301 redirects to the archive thread pages. Therefore, (1) it works as a sitemap for the static site and (2) ensures incoming links pointing to the old archive thread pages are redirected to the new, static pages too!

    Keep vB's Archive default settings
    Keep vBulletin's default archive settings.

Select the last one ('Keep vB's Archive default settings') to keep the original archive structure.

That makes the need of creating a tableless style even more important/urgent, as it help boosting C2C in full threads.
I agree - We might give you a little surprise soon
