Yeah, I "did", dropped back down to php4.4.4

Caused me all kinds of problems, but it wasn't vbseo related. removed vbseo and it was still killing two forums. 4 forums on the same server, 2 were working fine, two were bombed with database errors.

Well, I have vbSEO RC3 and PHP5/Zend/eAccelerator right now working fine.

Downgrading isn't an option, and I'm hesitant to upgrade since someone reported problems with RC4 and a very similar configuration.

Welp, I took the plunge and upgraded.

    Working fine

I wonder what your problem was? Was eAccelerator configured properly?

I also had the exact problem. I first planned to go with ioncube , Apc then APC installation caused bunch of problems. So i decided lets go with Zend again. Upgraded to PHP5 and my loads skyrocketed. I go back to 4.4.4 with Zend and Eaccelerator.
