    Any SEO issues with this mod

    There is a new mod been released at vb.org that I am wondering if there are any seo issues with it:
    CERBERUS: 1 vB4: runs multiple domains with custom styles, forums, universal login - vBulletin.org Forum

    It allows you to have a central login system across domains using one single vb installation. Using cpanel you add extra domains as "Addon" domains and set which forums in your vb install to be used with each domain. It seems to use an iframe for a user to login across all domains thus making a single login system. Having one vb install Google etc would see the same across all the domains except for the forum title, threads and posts. You can have different styles for each domain though but not sure what the impacts of having similar components like navigation menu, users, addons etc across all of them would be with seo optimisation.

    I inquired about any SEO impacts in the thread and didn't get an appropriate reply to my question so I am asking here.

    Please, before I give this mod any serious thought, and note I really would like to use it as it would help my site dramatically, can any one give some true helpful advice on what the impacts would definitely be specifically with this mod...thanks

    I don't believe this will even work with vbseo, due to it adding the <base /> directive.

    Thanks Brian...the first post of it says that it will work with VBSEO however to work properly you will need a separate VBSEO licence with each domain.

    But will it have any impacts on SEO?

    as long as X domain's content does load on Y domain pull, there's no issues.

    No it doesn't Brian...each domain displays different forum sets - you define which forums to display with which domain in the mod...if any of the domains display just one forum that is viewable in another then you would have duplicate content of threads and posts so I guess that will hurt seo.

    You have one vb install and basically you define in the mod which of your forums are displayed with which domain. So for example you have:
    Category 1 with forums 1, 2 and 3 being displayed in domain1.com
    Category 2 with forums 4, 5 and 6 being displayed in domain2.com

    The mod is setup using:
    [domain-1.com]
    bbtitle=Domain-1
    bburl=domain-1.com/forums
    homeurl=domain-1.com
    catids=1,2,3
    styleid=1
    cookiedomain=.domain-1.com
    facebookappid=Your_appid_here
    facebooksecret=Your_fb_secret_here

    [domain-2.com]
    bbtitle=Domain-2
    bburl=domain-2.com/forums
    homeurl=domain-2.com
    catids=4,5,6
    styleid=2
    cookiedomain=.domain-2.com
    facebookappid=Your_appid_here
    facebooksecret=Your_fb_secret_here
    etc...

    The mod itself looks fine in terms of seo.

    I wonder how the vbseo sitemap would work, with this mod enabled.
    Would it be able to make sitemaps for 2 forums sharing the same files?

    It goes by forum permissions, so i'm assuming that since those forums are not set to show on certain forums that they would be ignored as well.
