    any price estimates? (+)

    seing as that the final release date is drawing closer, I would like to know if there's a price set for the full version of vBSEO. in addition to that, I have a few more questions to ask:

    1. how will the license system work? same as vBulletin itself ("entry fee" which allows me to use the product for one year, and then a smaller amount paid for updates) or something different?

    2. are you planning to update the script with more rewrites? (search, calendar, etc)

    3. just out of curiosity, what will be the difference between 'pro' and 'lite' versions?

    regards

    @bang, BrentWilson:

    Pricing info for vBSEO has been decided. However, we are saving the announcement for the date of official release.

    Here are responses to your other questions:

    1. Our licensing system will be very similar to the one used by vBulletin. There will be an owned licensed for a fixed price. This license comes with 1-year of free upgrades. After the 1-year expires, there will be a small annual upgrade fee.

    2. vBSEO will be continually upgraded with new features (and general improvements) as the product evolves. FYI Our custom rewrite rules feature will allow you to rewrite search and calendar in the current version.

    3. vBSEO 2.0 Lite converts all vB forum URLs to static versions, but it does not include the advanced features and options available in vBSEO 2.0 Full. The vBSEO Admin CP is not provided in the light version. Instead, Lite users will be provided with a default installation.

    I've set my profile to receive announcements from administrators - so please do feel free to send out a member e-mail announcing the release of vB SEO.

    Sounds good - I have three forums I've been desperately patient with getting something done with.

    I've had a mod_rewrite on one before, but it wasn't very consistent. I've actually been tempted to change to Simple Machines for the consistent mod_rewrite there, but vB SEO looks by far the better offer.

    Are installation options going to be offered to the general public?
