Anti-SPAM measures?

I am about to "turn on" my site by disabling my robots.txt which currently blocks the entire site except the index page.

Can anyone recommend any hacks or checks I should make before I do this to decrease the possibility of spammers or robots harvesting email addresses, phone numbers, private profile information, etc.

I seem to remember a hack for 3.0.x that changed email addresses to name [image of an @ sign] domain.com.
