Am I going crazy??? This should be easy....

Ok... I am sure this is possible, and I'm just being stupid.

I have a specific usergroup, members of which I want to have moderating ability in a specific forum.

The only way I can do this right now is to eith er make the usergroup a supermod group (i defo dont want this) or to add everyone individually as a moderator of said forum.

You can all laugh at me now..... how long have I been doing this?

    Is there an easier way?

I believe there is a mod on .org for "usergroup as mod" or something to that effect. You are right that this is not built in.

well thank god for that... I thought I was going nuts.

Which poses another question.... why isnt this in vB? It seems a perfectly normal (common?) thing to want to do.

You should request it! Not that vB pays much attention to their feature requests...

Oh well. Still a great product.
