Yes this is a dynamic feature and is done on each page load (unless your using a cache) so even the oldest of links will have this added.

    Hi
Could you please explain to me in technical terms what is the benefit
of this function? I understand that it negates any reward sought by
spammers who spam your board with links...
However, does this also help with Google SERP & PR because it would
prevent any "link Juice" from being passed along to other sites?
Im looking at enabling this but want to clarify first.
    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes it helps your site by keeping the link weight local to your site. It is believed that google add penalties for linking to spamy sites adding nofollow negates this but the best benefit is you are keeping the search bots on your site if your site is full of external links that have dofollow the problem you have is that the SE will follow these links and so leave your site.

There is an option to whitelist certain links however, so if there are specific sites you do want to pass linkweight onto then just add them to the whitelist.

    Thanks for the info.
Another question...can a member of vBSEO team assist me in optimizing
my settings for full benefit? I believe I have issues with low SERP because
some of the settings arent correct.
