Hello Joey,
You can disable the following option:
vBSEO CP -> SEO Functions -> Acronym Expansion -> Apply Acronym Expansion to "Content Areas" only?

Hey Joey,
As Chuta mentions you can change that feature and it will apply to all area's of the site not just to post contents.
