From 450,000 to 50,000 results: What Happened?

Hi Everyone,

vBSEO is an amazing tool, and when I installed it and configured it last September with the Google / Yahoo Sitemap Generator, I saw my pageresults on Google surge to over 450,000 results this past March. However, as we rolled into April and May, my results began to decline and now, I'm sitting at around only 50,000 results for my site.

What would have caused this decline to happen? Is there any way that I can increase my results at this stage? What best practices, tips, and tricks do you recommend for maximizing GoogleBot's retention of your pages?

vBSEO eliminates duplicate urls . Also site:domain.com query isn't supplying the correct results. You shall concentrate on SE referral numbers.

Thanks, Mert. Where can I explore the SE referral numbers? What metrics do you suggest I focus on, and how should I track them?

How is your actual search traffic?

Best way to track SE referrals is usign a stat program such as Google Analytics
