301 permanent redirect matters?

i generated a report of my site on website.grader.com and got following report. [part of report]

i've set preffered domain www.mysite.com in google web master tools.
then also is it necessary to do 301 permanent redirect?

if yes, then how to do using vbseo settings?will it affect my forum anyway?url settings?

i've already had google webmaster tools abd preffered domain www.mysite.com in google webmasters.
