I own Sound Unsound (Sound Unsound / Sound Unsound Forums). Sound Unsound is the most active forum in the mashup niche (the forum isn't solely mashups, but most of the artists are mashup artists), that is thriving due to the help of Ministry of Sounds yearly albums and American artists adopting the style. Sound Unsound was founded on 31st December 2007 as two separate forums sound-unsound-network.com and sound-unsound.com. In early 2008, I merged the 2 forums to make the site a hub for all artists. Since then, Sound Unsound has gone from strength to strength and two Fridays ago (7th August) hit 2,000 members. In May 2009, I started working on the sites SEO and since then the site is sitting top in the top 3 for all Google keywords that I am targeting.

Site Design

The site design is custom and was put into place on November 1st 2008. The site would come with an Owned VB Licence (expires October 2009), Owned VBSEO licence (Expires May 2010) and a vB Links directory licence (all licences are eligible for transfer). You would also get the PSDs etc for the site design and logo.

Adsense

Adsense revenue is about $2 a week. I don't know how to optimise Adsense, so that most probably explains the low income from Adsense.

Other Revenue

I had sold 4 links in the footer that have just expired (August 10th). These were sold for $420 for the year. These were purchased by MOG on DP. I also sold some links on the front page, but these were shorter terms. I think they were for about 3 months and brought in about $100 for 2 links for 3 months. There are no current links that need to be kept in place, as I didn't contact anyone to renew, as I was planning on selling up and moving on.

I have been stung before with a site sale on DP , so if you were interested, I would require full payment via PayPal before any of the site is handed over. I would agree a time with the buyer and do the whole deal via a messengering service and stay online until the deal was complete. There is no exceptions to this.
