Question How much do you think this forum is worth?

Hi. I am an active poster on the forum Dream Team Money (1,500+ posts there), and I am thinking of buying it soon.

I was wondering if I could ask you experts how much you think it is worth, because, truthfully, I have no clue.

It gets about 50,000 unique hits per month, and has nearly 50,000 members, which you can send a mass-emailing to.

The forum makes about $13,000 on advertising per month (that's my BEST guess at least, lol.) And they have 2 moderators who I think get $500 per month each. Hosting is close to nothing (about $100/mo), and that's basically all.

What do you think? Let me know with your best answers by replying to this post.

By the way, DreamTeamMoney Internet Marketing Forum | Webmaster, HYIP, Affiliate, GPT, Forex, Network Marketing, E-Currency, Money Makers Forum is the link.

Well, if the site is making $13,000 per month, then you're likely looking at $320,000+ to buy it. I doubt the guy would sell for less than 24 months revenue.

Ok, thanks. My max was $350k, so I'll offer him $300k and see what happens.

    That answers my Q!

What a forum. Good luck Edward. Hope everything goes well!

Maybe you can make me a moderator ya? haha

Btw, be careful with this. The economy is down right now and the ad revenue maybe down. There is probably a reason why this person is selling this.

Well, it's the third largest forum in it's niche, and he's not really selling it, I'm just going to ask him if I could buy it from him. lol...

And, I would make you a moderator, but your username really turned me off. lol.

Wow. I am in shock that he is coming out ahead $13,000 a month! I have a forum that receives more traffic than what you listed and after I pay the bandwidth bill and add up the advertising, I'm sitting in the red every month. Not to mention we are about to upgrade the server, which is going to be another sunk cost.

I'd love for someone to help me get my forum in the green (sigh).

I always wonder why anyone is willing to sell an active forum if he doesn't need the money badly. If the topic isn't doomed to fall, the forum will grow once it becomes active.
