I could not find any resources here on this topic:
site:vbseo.com adsense intitle:blog - Google Search
Yes, still nobody add adsense to the blogs entrys :(
i only put ads in the navbar on the blog
Yes, me too... But it should be cool insert the ads into the text entry... to get more clicks.
I wouldn't agree with that.
I've tested just about every placement possible, and in the postbit was one of my worst converting units ever.
In mine I have two ads below the navbar (text ad on left, image on right), a skyscraper in the left marge on forum home/show pages & in the first post on showthread pages (i.e. w/ the 3 ad limit the skyscraper & the ad in the 1st post are mutually exclusive.
Roughly 6/7 of all clicks are in the 2 below the navbar, with the image ad always having a slight advantage. Of the other two, the skyscraper is hit on the forum displays is bit more often than the 1st-post ad.
Next time I have to work in that template or upgrade, I plan to use the skyscraper ad in showthread (left margin) & forget about the one in the 1st post. The added complexity of coding (including making it work properly with both newest/oldest 1st & the need to disable threaded/hybrid mode) isn't worth the effort.
(so I just realized this is for blogs, not posts ... numbers may still be useful)
