    Question vB + vBSEO + Adsense + Analytics

    I'm upgrading my scripts today. I have a vB forum updated to the latest (3.8.4), vBSEO currently 3.2 (soon to be 3.3.1) and an AdSense + Analytics account.

    I'm probably way behind the curve on these things, but when I logged in to my AdSense account today, it offered me an option to link my AdSense and Analytics accounts. I did so and it provided me with a little code to add to the top of every page containing ads:
    Code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    window.google_analytics_uacct = "#####";
    </script>
    I've got vB 3.8.4's built in support for AdSense enabled and displaying ads. I can add my Analytics code for the site to my vBSEO config settings/file.

    Is vBSEO also adding this Analytics + AdSense code to pages, or do I need to add that manually? If manually, any suggestions on how best to add it so that it only appears on pages that vB is adding the AdSense code? navbar?

    Does the vBSEO Livestats mod handle this?
    I'm using vbSEO for my precious metals forum.

    I'd suggest running adsense as a standalone application. VB's method has some privacy concerns in it. It's simple enough to add in with the ad location templates.

    The adsense/analytics bridge is a new feature in vbseo 3.3.1. You should upgrade to get this feature.

    Can you elaborate? What do you mean by privacy concerns? That vB has access to AdSense account info (or stats)?

    Thanks, I will have to look into that. Is Google still adamant about not displaying AdSense on registration pages and the like? That's the major hassle that I was looking to avoid by using the canned vB approach.

    Thanks. This should be done soon.

    Thanks. I was able to remove the vB API integration and revert my forum back to a clean, non-integrated install. I added my AdSense code directly to the ad templates with conditionals.

    I'll be installing vBSEO 3.3.1 soon. Question - if my adsense code is wrapped with conditionals (they don't show on every page), how does vBSEO know on which pages to show the AdSense+Analytics code?

    adsense/analytics code tags are included on every page in the footer. it's un-related to the actual ad units you place on the site or not.
