Okay, I have removed it. So I can't possibly make the descriptions indexable? They're in the alt of the description images now but according to that link above, it doesn't do anything?
Search engines can and do read ALT text, but it's obviously not going to be weighted as heavily as text actually visible to the users, on the page.
I'm not sure how the AdSense crawler would weigh into consideration ALT text for relevant ad display purposes.
I really think you should work on your template to try to get the actual forum description text on the page, without relying on the images, and without messing up your nice graphical display.
Alright. I'll keep things as they are right now then.
try the image replacement. you can have the best of both worlds.
the text to the bots, and the image to the users.
i use it on my logo.
the code is
<h1><span>site.com</span></h1> but using css/IR, you see the logo instead, and with the span, the text is hidden to the users

What if I'd make a style exactly like the other style except for that the descriptions would be in text form and then set AdSense to login as a user that has that style set for default?
