How is reading about and Digging your "discovery" going to stop content theft?

Why not outline ways people can either prevent the theft of their content or how send notice to Goolge under the DMCA and get them to stop advertising on the site.

Well, they are advertising on their own site and providing a service. I just don't understand how the hell they get indexed in Google?

Did you see that site? Did you use it to go to your Adsense powered site?

Asking people to Digg the story here in a public forum is a good way to get this website blacklisted by digg.com. This thread should be deleted.

No reason to get upset Mike. i was just trying to spread the word about something that should be a concern for all webmasters. But you can delete it if you'd like.

This should really be up to google adsense to track and catch this kind of behavior.

Google is pretty lame about it, they want a DMCA notice faxed or mailed before they will do anything.

Infrined content or not, Google charges their AdWords customers when the ad is viewed or clicked on.

It's not like Google is a search company or anything and could cross-reference page content and look for violations, while they are penalizing page ranks for duplicate content.

If only the bottom feeder sites that rip off the content where earning more than pennies a month, it might actually be worthwhile to sue them and Google for profiting on copyright infringement.

That's what I thought too. I don't think Google will do anything about this, but say that everyone is following the rules and the proxy servers provide a free service and use adsense to monetize it.

What I am upset with is that this page is in Google's index and shows up in results!

I am going to write to Google about this and will post the response on my forum.
