Optimization help, please.

Here are my stats:



Right now my adsense income is way, way below what I'm seeing from other sites with my traffic. I'm not really sure what I should change - I've tried a variety of different formats under the navbar and it's always my top performer, and going from a leaderboard to a pair of 336x280's has been my latest change, on the advice of a few people.

Currently:

Guests:
2x 336x280, one text, one image, under the navbar
1x 728x90 text & image in the footer
1x 728x90 text only after the first post.

Registered:
1x 728x90 text & image in the footer
1x 728x90 text only after the first post.

Contributing:
Footer only.

What should I be seeing with that kind of traffic? If someone could take a peek and offer some tips, I'd appreciate it. Link is in my sig.

Changed up a few things today, hopefully some of you guys pushing $50+ a day can chime in and tell me if I'm headed in the right direction. I clear 8k uniques, and am not even close to that.

First post insert has been removed, as has the footer, since it'd be 4 units on one page.

I think with the change from the leaderboard to the dual 336x280 ads you'll see a pretty big improvement. Post up before/after stats after running them for a week so we can see!

Is performing very poorly in comparison to the single 728x90.

Out of curiosity, has your inbound visitor rate been affected at all by the Google issue you were having?

^ possibly. I haven't noticed a decline in traffic though. Google hated me for a couple of months and yet my traffic still went way up.

I do 100,000+ uniques a month, and make slightly more than the cost of a gallon of gas per day on average. I'm clearly doing something wrong.

You're going to have to boost your earnings if you want to keep making *a gallon a day*.
