I found this on Google's Adsense blog today, sort of surprised me considering how many times I've heard Google okaying it with people. If you have images next to your ads, better take em off...

They should notify you of the reason for your ban.

I have tried to get a specific answer out of them. They will not give anything more specific than "invalid clicks", which could mean invalid clicks from people thinking the image has to do with the ad or any other number of things. I never clicked my own ads even once in over a year with adsense, so it was not that.

Their policy hasn't changed one bit. They will allow some people to put the images next to them and then some people they won't.

This is the same Adsense team that flat out told me IntelliTXT could not be used on a page with Adsense. Some of the biggest sites on the net use IntelliTXT and Adsense on the same page. Adsense is full of double standards and I can't stand them one bit. I absolutely hate two face organizations and that is exactly what Google is.

All you people taking your images down are just losing money. No where in that article did they say there was a new policy or a change to their TOS.

General Discussion Perfect example. Sprintusers has an Adsense rep for their site and they have been running ads like that for 6-7 months. Unless the Adsense rep for that is extremely stupid they are well aware that they are making thousands of dollars a month off that adsense channel with images next to it. They don't even use a border.

One car site that I frequent my.IS - Serving Lexus IS300, IS250 and IS350 Enthusiasts Since 1999 has been using them together for probably over a year.

Mine even looked a little more seperated than those. That exactly matches the first example in the blog post above of what is supposedly not allowed.

I am emailing my rep to make sure I am not in violation, although I have kept emails from the past verifying that the images above the ads is ok as long as there is a border.

I noticed that the examples used was the images beside the ads and I did remove that from the ads in my archive upon reading the adsense blog.

Well, can't show ads below the images on my atv site anymore either. Now to decide whether to switch back to YPN or change the way my images are viewed.

Not trying to bash google, but there adsense program has some big flaws. First, they don't give you answers for why you are banned. They have 0 way of appealing that will be taken seriously. I know of professional sites that were created for companies that got banned by google that in no way would have fake clicks on them. One of them was a local radio station. They also seem to not ban large sites that have public posts saying to click on there ads. I have reported 1 site 5 times because they have a post that says

"Support our site, Click our ads on the left" All he ads were adsense ads.

I personally emailed google and told them that one of my small sites had been getting fake clicks, by someone other then myself. I had $86 in my account legit, I lost it all because of it. I alerted them to the issue myself. So it wasn't like I was hiding it or going to take hte non-legit money.

I have removed all Google adsense from my sites, except for the adsense links I use on pages where a leaderboard or other means is not feasible. I despise Adsense now. They are nothing but hypocrites.

They are down from my ATV site, with YPN replacing them. Giving it a short test to see how it does.

adsense is back on my site.

I just went back to the original format for photopost and kept the ads underneath it. Google is fine with that, and I still get a pretty decent CTR. Not as good as it was by any means, but until something better comes along, adsense it is. I don't like it, but I need money more than I need to make a point, LOL

So the way you have it on there now is acceptable to them?
