I think i just got Clicked Bomb

This morning when i checked my adsense report, i had 5 click's. No big deal although more the better. Just now i looked and now 55 click's with 700 impression's. $2.96 wtf, someone clicked bombed me.

I just emailed google and of course i get a automated response minute later. Do they still email me back to reply to what i explained in the email?

I don't want to get banned from adsense. How can i prevent this from happening (If it can be prevented) eH, this stinks and i am afraid to check my stat's again.

    That sux. Really.

Take your adsense code down, from your website.
And block other websites too from using (displaying) your adsense code...

and then wait for Google to reply.

Well i did block all other websites last night. Everything back to normal right now with the amount of click's i got. Sucks, i couldn't find the IP that did this. Hopefully google will reply back this week so i know the clickbomb yesterday was resolved.

Also it's about to rain right now. Make that go away. lol

Click bombed? I've never heard of such a thing. Why would someone do that? To get you in trouble with google I assume?

I'd imaging google tracks the IPs of who clicks on what, so I personally would not worry about it.

While I do not intend to add to your frustration, I have heard reports that Google can be somewhat less than understanding in situations like these. In any event, it's good that you have proactively contacted them. And, hopefully they have sufficient capabilities to determine the source of the fraud, refund the clicks, and leave your account intact.

Note: Some reports from people who claim they were banned due to click bombing, often leave suspicions that they may actually have had something to do with it.

In your case, please post back to us to let us know how they respond. This will provide valuable insights for others who may be impacted by this in the future.

Yes, definitely use the (fairly new) feature they added that lets you list the domains that are allowed to use your Adsense code also. That will keep people from putting your code on other sites/pages without your permission.

Right now, i am only allowing my domain and no other site. I make more on the forum then on other ad revenue sharing sites i visit.

So far no response from google but they recieve lot's of emails daily to respond too. I expect an answer in a few business day's. Will respond here about what they say.

So far things haven't went whacky again. When i did email google the email they sent back sorted looked like a autoresponder message thanking me...etc (i'm pretty sure they looked into the matter when they got to it)

As long as you notify google right away, your account shouldn't get disabled. Just be honest in the email you send and of course give as much detail as you can about the current problem.

Hope your week is going well.

I haven't read too much into the whole click bombing thing, but I find it hard to believe that Google would ban you for something you don't have any control over. They have anti-fraud measures in place which disallow some clicks. It would make more sense to tweak those settings rather than disable your account, which wouldn't necessarily stop the fraud anyway (it could continue at other sites).

I manage a few large adsense sites, which could have been the target for click bombing, but haven't had any times where adsense has disabled my account and I've been running adsense for over 3 years.

lol... you're the only one who thinks that. adsense is down to my 3rd tier, and i'm nearly ready to pull it entirely.
