Now in week 5 of waiting.

Do they send a notice turning you down if you are not accepted or just leave you waiting?

An update for everyone who has thought about signing up for it. I have made $800 since signing up with it. I was on adsense for alot longer and made only a few $100. By far my experience with Yahoo has been much better.

It depends on a lot on your niche too... I never made squat with YPN when I tried it originally. I may give it another try now to see if it has improved for my niche...

I have found that yahoo continually displays a better selection of ads to my site. This is what I think made the difference. My site is aimed at a very specific group of people and I noticed alot of incorrect ads from google. However yahoo allows for you to do it differently. With yahoo you can pick a default category. Which helps alot.

    Exclamation hmmmph

I too signed up for the YPN, got the same "limited at this time" email and then never heard another word. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not a Google fan by any means. I truly believe they are out to control the internet as a whole and have grown way too big wayyyy too fast. I signed up for YPN for that very reason and wanted to expand my ad revenue avenues *say that fast 3 times*, and I waited...and waited and waited. I'm still waiting (3 months) for acceptance.... so hmmmph!

I run the netshoppers directory (among others) and I know I'm not huge but I still send a couple thousand clicks each month to Google (shirk) and would love to try YPN... but how long is long enough?

If they won't even bother to follow up with anyone other than the large wealthy site owners then Google will own the net. They'll simply keep letting the other 99.99999% of the web sign up, get ads and earn cash for clicks... wake up Yahoo or lose position.

Thank you for letting me vent... I hope I did it with humor and class

    Steven

I think they just filled up. Because I work at a company and we do all the websites for baberuth baseball. We have 1 site with 90,000 users. It got denied. They are still in beta though, so not everyone is going to get accepted.

Am I the only one who got a call from someone saying they were with Yahoo and asking me if I wanted to signup to YPN on the phone? I told them I would look at the website and signup there.

They called me a couple of times but only to follow up and see how I liked their service.

I had posted a question about a way I place ads to increase my revenue and they called me back and asked questions and then said it was fine. They in my opinion are 100 times better in customer service then the "other" ad program that sends out a 1 size fits all requests message.

I got in today, and the ad context seems pretty spot on - better than Google's in my opinion.

yea, ads are good, only thing I have noticed is on dynamic content site it takes them awhile to get ads up.
