Google Adwords Conversion Tracking Code Help

I want to do an Adwords campaign and be able to track how many members register from the adwords using this code and tutorial from here: https://adwords.google.com/support/b...15794&hl=en_US

How do I track registrations? What templates or files do I insert the code into? Would I see a link somewhere at the bottom or what not to show me that I did it successfully?
