Google Adsense - Suggestions?

Hi Guys,

Like everyone else, I am not making hardly any money via ad revenue and I am do the same as everyone else, breaking down and asking.

I run: GamersLifeLine.com

We have made some very substantial steps forward in the last few months and have started driving allot of new traffic 2-3k unique visitors a day. Most of the traffic is on our download section, where games come, grab there download and leave as quick as they came.

So my first major issue, the traffic is not remaining on my site long enough to get them to click much of the ads. So knowing that, how would I go about making greater revenue based on my current traffic rates?

Ad placement is everything, I get that and have been playing around with them for ages and the locations so far have worked the best.

The only other solution, is to build a brand new style, does anyone have any idea how or where to got to get a style that is very search engine friendly?

To further my frustration, I also am not understanding how one day I can make 15 bucks and the next make 23 cents. The traffic does not change and my clicks are similar, somehow I feel I am getting screwed or just plain lucky.

Any incite would be awesome!

Your issue is a bit 2-fold.
1) gaming sites have ALWAYS had poor monitization factors. I don't know why, but adsense just doesn't seem to be profitable on gaming sites.

2) your placements are not in the money maker spots.



Lose the footer ad, and place it under the nav bar.


I'd also suggest disabling the footer archive links (and the entire archive altogether)

I do ok from time to time, the killer is I don't understand how I can make $2-$5 a day for a week and the next week I dont may a full 5 bucks. Traffic and clicks stay about the same, thats my main concern.

Follow-up question, what is the purpose of disabling the sitemap?

It's duplicate content and is completely un-needed with vbseo.

Reading through that entire thread there was a note that you guys are using H2 tags via RR, can you please elaborate on how to do so?

I have not used RR yet (still new to this) and am not understanding how I use it to achieve what I need with H2 tags.

On that note, adding H3 tags, yes or no?

Heading tags should be LOGICAL section headings. If you were to outline your site for a thesis, what would be your main section headings? THOSE are what should be a heading tag.

I personally do not even use h2's. It's all in how your content makes a logical outline.
