Google adsense need help/questions

I have never used or installed this what are the plus and minus of it? hard to setup? can you target certian key words? how big is the banner?
I also have sponsors that pay for banner space on the forums what should be the placement
please take a look and let me know

It takes about 72 hours to get approved after sign-up. Installation is very easy. They have a tool to allow you to configure the aspects of your ad boxes. Ads are in various sizes - you can select the one you prefer to use on your site.

Google automatically selects relevant ads based on the content on your pages.

I recommend cleaning up your ad space at the top. I'd downsize your logo & organize the ads better so that you do not use up so much screen real estate at the top.

I'd place your AdWords in as many locations as possible without overdoing it visually. Use your best judgement.

As for placement, I like what AmyKhar has done on eaforums.com.

But the ads that are displayed have nothing to do with my site
according to coogle it would be content driven to the content on the site but a hunting forum with ads for dodge and ebay just don't make sense
